Guys; it's 'well known' that the update of the MMI in A8s can cause '2095 Component Protection Active' DTCs in some of the media ECUs that it updates. :(
I saw CP myself when going from MMI 0890 to 5510/5570 when 5150 updated the Bose firmware from 360 to 460. My Amp is '4E0 035 223A H13' just in case that makes a difference.
I used to think this was an 'old issue' as most people are at 5570 aren't they?
But I've noticed an increasing number of people getting hold of 'old' cars that have never had any updates and asking questions about MMI updating.
Has anyone personally seen CP in updates they've done for anything other than the Bose DSP amp?
And alternatively, has anyone definitely updated a Bose DSP amp without getting CP when going to 5150/5570?
[As an aside, there's a strange characteristic of the Bose Amp's firmware. The 0460 version seemed to come along in the 5150 update package which dates from 2008 but the firmware date is actually 18/07/2005]!!
